Obtaining a Visa to Enter the USA

We encourage every team to make specific enquiries about obtaining a visa to enter the USA. You are responsible for obtaining the correct paperwork to visit the USA to compete at the WFDF 2019 Pan American Ultimate Championships (PAUC 2019).

Foreign travelers to the United States will likely need either a Visitor Visa or you might qualify for entry under the Visa Waiver Program (ESTA). It is up to you to find out specifics for yourself and to apply.

Please note: we cannot and will not provide a formal "invitation" to attend the event and non-ability to enter the USA is not grounds for a request of a refund for a team and/or player fees.

We recommend EVERY TEAM makes specific enquiries.

WE CAN PROVIDE YOUR TEAM WITH A LETTER OF REGISTRATION ONCE YOUR TEAM HAS BEEN ACCEPTED TO PAUC 2019. In order to receive the letter, you will need to email passport images for all players requesting a VISA. You must also download and fill out the spreadsheet at the bottom of this page and email it to:

Note on Health Care in the USA

The United States Health Care system is based on individuals carrying their own insurance. WFDF and Oshadega LLC, the tournament organizing committee, does not provide coverage for players. There is always a risk associated with playing Ultimate. Although we will have medical staff on site to deal with first aid and assess critical injuries, there may be injuries in which players need medical attention that requires emergency visits to local hospitals. Therefore, we are requesting that players and teams acknowledge these risks, understand that WFDF and the TOC cannot be held liable for these, and may alleviate some personal financial liability by purchasing their own traveler's insurance to make sure they are covered for any medical issues that arise.
